I did not know that the first year of the F10 5-Series (2011) 528i had the N52 inline-6. In 2012 BMW replaced the N52 for the N20 inline-4. Interesting.

I think that was also the last NA I6 sold here.

It was the last NA I6, but not the last NA I6 equipped car. That award goes to the 128i, which was sold until 2013 or 2014 (I forgot).

I did too, I only remembered after browsing Craigslist and a 128i came up.

And it’s really too bad that they saddled it with the vaguest possible EPS; N52+ZF8 is such a likable combo in an F10. Even though the transmission was geared for the turbocharged engines and the restrictive single stage intake manifold was used, it was just about as quick as the N20 variant while being smoother and pulling harder at highway speeds.

But wasn’t the torque down compared to the N20? I prefer the N52 but around town the extra torque would be beneficial.
